With the Bahamas gaining record visitor numbers in 2019, new Bahamas flights are being added from around the world.
It is well-known that where there is an increase in flights, rising property demand and real estate sales are likely to follow.
Engel & Völkers Bahamas, the luxury real estate specialist, is seeing strong demand for lifestyle homes, particularly beachfront Bahamas real estate for sale.
In the last few months, new or additional Bahamas flights have been added from the United States, the United Kingdom, and Canada.
Among airlines who are putting on new Bahamas flights to match demand are:
- United Airlines has added a Saturday non-stop service from Denver to Nassau, starting Saturday 7 March to Saturday 15 August
- Delta Airlines, with daily direct flights from Boston to Nassau up to 30 April
- JetBlue is also adding a second daily flight from Boston to Nassau in March and April
- Southwest is running a Saturday flight from Houston to Nassau in June
- British Airways, which now flies to Nassau five times a week from Heathrow, after adding direct flights every Tuesday from 29 March, to add to its services on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.
- Air Canada now flies twice a week from Montreal to Nassau
- Silver Airways has introduced a new flight from Fort Lauderdale to Bimini.
In addition, Bahamasair, the national airline, has resumed Bahamas flights between Fort Lauderdale and Freeport and every day apart from Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and flights between Marsh Harbour and West Palm Beach on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays.
